This is (in my opinion) one of the finest TV shows the world has seen. Well, I like it a lot anyway. I can't think of many shows with nearly as many memorable quotes. I know a lot of people where I can mention a mere line or two and they can tell me who said it, the episode it was in, the circumstances, etc. Truly amazing.

So why should you look at my collection instead of one of the others on the net? Well about a year ago, I looked up quotes on the net and compiled them and even organized them into three MS Word files (which you can download below) -- one file devoted to Homer's lines (this file also has a few "extras"), one to lines involving only Simpson family members and one devoted to the mish-mash of other characters. The quotes are organized alphabetically by character (except in the Homer file since it's just Homer) and even the lines themselves are organized by first word (yep, it's official: I have NOOOOO life). Besides these three main files, I also have included three files which ONLY include the most recent additions (in case you've visited this page and looked over my files already, this will help you focus in on ONLY the new ones).

I put together these quotes using a variety of sources. One is my own knowledge of the Simpsons (I've seen every episode except maybe one or two I missed over the years and I've seen most episodes several times if not many times). A couple of noteable sources were IMDB and of course, the official Simpsons website. Note that this page is in NO WAY affiliated with either of these sites or any other Simpsons-related sites. I don't know how legal it is for me to post these quotes here. For what it's worth, there's a zillion-odd sites that post quotes from the Simpsons. If I get an official-looking complaint from the people at Fox or The Simpsons or anywhere else, I'll happily take this down. I only set up this page for other Simpsons fans to remind them why the show is so great and I have no interest in profit or anything else related to this. Anyway the six files are a few lines below -- just click on them to download them and then you can read, print, etc. at your leisure (the file names are pretty self-explanatory). They're a good way to cheer yourself up if you're having a rough day. Files last updated Dec. '05.

Oh yeah, the files on the left are not actually "complete" -- they go up to about 2001 and the buttons on the right are for files from there to Dec. '05. I'd update the text on the buttons but I forget how and I'd rather just write some disclaimer like this.
